People watch Revenge, so naturally ABC assumes that people would like to dress like Emily VanCamp and her co-stars do on the primetime soap drama. The network, Matchbook Co. and costume designer Jill Ohanneson are working on a clothing line inspired by the show.
Ohanneson spoke with Women’s Wear Daily about the line, noting that the clothes are inspired by the dresses work by VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe. The studio and brand hope to get the dresses in a major store by the holidays. (That would also be while Revenge is in the middle of its third season, of course.)
They are also looking into doing plus-size apparel, lingerie, shoes and accessories. Male clothing is also on the wishlist. Firefly Brand Management is also looking to team up with ABC for more licensing opportunities.
As Entertainment Weekly notes, the clothing worn by the characters in the first two seasons came from labels like Roberto Cavalli, BCBG, Donna Karan and Valentino.
While Revenge is coming back in the fall, the show will be without its’ creator, Mike Kelley, who left over a disagreement with ABC on the number of episodes per season. Actress Ashley Madekwe will also not be back.
