A very pure and raw combined with an upbeat acoustic guitar melody brings, this Daniel Miz combines the unique elements of his voice and musical accompaniment to bring such a bedroom-oustanding performance and cover of this song. We can truly see this is what he does behind closed doors, exposing his true colors; an aspect I feel we may not see if he was to perform outside of his comfort zone. His voice suspends us to an alternate reality while the guitar keeps us grounded on the earth. At times he seems like he’s choking, but he comes back and out powerfully and alive for a moment’s grace. This, however, showcases his emphasis on only certain parts of the lyrics, personalizing it to his comfort zone. We see a lot of “clarity” in his character, but what I feel would help is a little more searching in the song.
