9 – Mudrax
Her name remains unknown to the public, but on youtube she is known as Mudrax. After discovering her I watched much of her other video covers. Compared to her other covers, what I like about her rendition of this song is that she showcases a vulnerability of herself in the lyrics, rising into a range that lies very difficult from her normal reach and emphasizing not just the “clarity” she obviously understands in the song, but also her determination to reach it. She brings us on a roller coaster ride experience, tagging us along on her journey in search for the “remedy”, slowing at certain parts, picking up speed to increase the song’s momentum. But nevertheless, she is always moving, and though she is straining at times, she is always striving to reach her “clarity”.
