1 – Gabrielle Rose
We have finally reached it! The number one spot! And it goes to Ms. Gabrielle Rose! I gave Gabrielle the number one spot for many reasons: her performance is pure, smooth, rich, vulnerable, and meaningful. It is the nature of not being pop-ish and stylish that I truly admire about Gabrielle, holding true to the meaning of “clarity” in itself; to perform the song with “clarity”. No signs of struggle, no signs of constraint or restraint, nor signs of concealment of her character; everything we see and hear is her, purely and solely. She portrays all of the elements mentioned in the previous top ten contenders, and then some. The instruments layers the epic resonance she emanates with her pure voice, preserving that sense of innocence in her performance, but knowing her vulnerability at the same time. And for your untainted melody of true “clarity”, we thank and congratulate you Gabrielle.
