Though she is not the only mother in her son’s life, Jules is Lazer’s biological mom in their household, where she and partner Nic are raising the two children they had via a sperm donor. The shining moment of her mothering is when she and Nic suspect that Lazer’s relationship with a fellow teen is a bit more than platonic--and she decides to ask him about it.
