Victoria Beckham may be in the public eye, but she has the same feelings that a lot of other working mothers do. The Spice Girl has four children with husband David Beckham, and she’s really involved in her fashion line.
Beckham, 39, spoke at Vogue Festival in London this past weekend, where she admitted she “always feels guilty” when it comes to trying to balance motherhood and her career.
"Being a working mum you feel guilty every time you go out of the door when you have to work, I think, ‘Why am I not with the kids?’ You feel so torn, don’t you?” she started to say. “But I’ve got great people who handle my schedule and everything does revolve around the children.”
She said she always chooses the kids’ activities before her own, noting “So, if there’s a parents’ night or an Easter parade or a Nativity play, whatever it might be, then I plan everything so that I can always be there,” Entertainmentwise reports.
But she multi-tasks when it comes to getting work done and spending time with her youngest, daughter Harper, when her boys are in school.
“I love having children in the office. Mine are always running around,” she said. “I had one of those swingy chairs for Harper in my office and she’d bounce one way and swing into a roll of fabric and then bounce the other way and crash into a bag of samples.”
The fashion-forward mom even talked about her public image, which portrays her as sort of angry and mean.
"Everyone thinks I'm going to be a cow," she said, The Telgegraph reports. "I get it when I see the photos."
