4. “9 Lives” – Season 1, Episode 5
Little Boy Cat! The only witness to a murder is the victim’s cat. Shawn makes the cat his new partner, of course. He even lets the cat sit in Gus’ seat in the Blueberry (Gus’ small, blue, company car). There was a bit of an uproar in the blogs after this episode, since the cat is a calico and there are not male calico cats. The writers wave it off as another thing Shawn would not know, after all, he did not know what a paleontologist was!
