5 – Dead Poets Society
Returning back to his elite preparatory school, a new English teacher, portrayed by Robin Williams, seeks to break out of the strict education structure set in place by the private institution by breaking the modes of conduct and teaching styles in a subject that was meant for artistry and requires the freedom of one’s creative mind, not the restriction of its knowledge. Everything he does is looked down upon by all who learn of his avant-garde teaching tactics, but nevertheless, he pursues his comfortable methods as he inspires students to think with creative freedom into a world of spellbinding poetry. Robin Williams delivers one of his greatest performances to date in this 1989 feature film.
