Who could ever deny hearing about the wonders of the Miracle Worker? Many modern jokes still give reference to the amazing story that is the one who taught the helpless. The Miracle Worker tells the story of Anne Sullivan, a Massachusetts woman who was visually impaired, and her attempts in teaching the young, deaf, mute and blind Helen Keller of Alabama. She showcases what it truly means to be a loyal and undeterred teacher. The below excerpt from the 1962 film portrays Sullivan alone in the dining room with Helen as she teaches her that all things have a name and occupy a certain space in the world.
