1. Jaime & Cersei
The scene that pushed the rivalry between the show's two main houses over the edge (think about it…). Bran Stark witnessing Cersei and her twin Jaime bumping uglies pretty much single-handedly helped jump-start the war. It led to Ned Stark investigating Joffery's legitimacy to the crown, which in turn led to him being beheaded. So, as it stood, this scene paved the way for a majority of season one's story line.
