Rapper Gucci Mane has been indicted for allegedly assaulting a soldier in Atlanta. The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to Atlanta’s Channel 2 Action News that the rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, appeared in court and was indicted on a charge of aggravated assault. Davis was arrested last month. A soldier named James Lettley had told Action News that he tried to get a picture with Davis, but instead the rapper reacted violently, throwing a bottle at his head. James said he was celebrating his birthday at the Atlanta club Harlem Nights. “I'm in the military. I wanted to get a picture with Gucci Mane, is it OK?,” Lettley told the station. “I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle.” According to E! News, Lettley required 10 stitches. Davis left the scene after the incident, but turned himself in after an arrest warrant was issued. Davis has had several other run-ins with the law, spending time in jail on five occasions since 2005 for assault and drug charges. He recently appeared in Spring Breakers, alongside James Franco and Selena Gomez.
