From its first play, “Since U Been Gone” became one of the best breakup anthems of our time. Catchy, upbeat and all about female empowerment, Clarkson caught everyone’s attention. It is like a breath of fresh air after being trapped in a relationship and just being fed up with the whole situation. This is my favorite Clarkson song because it’s extremely catchy and just a fun song. There are definitely those relationships where, when it ends, you actually feel like a weight has been lifted. Some people just keep us down. Even if you haven’t been in a relationship, “Since U Been Gone” is just a fun song to listen to and it can relate to any situation, whether it be a toxic friendship, work issues or anything else you can think of. It’s a realization that you’re better off, like the light at the end of the tunnel.
