Katy Perry’s 2012 film followed her during her 2011 world tour while her marriage to Russell Brand was deteriorating. Perry reaffirmed her reputation as cute, bubbly, quirky, and sexy. However, audiences were almost brought to tears when Perry put on a brave face and performed a sold-out concert in South America just an hour after Brand told Perry he was leaving her. If that’s not showmanship, we don’t know what is.
