5. Veronica Mars (2004-2007)
The teen show focuses on teen detective Veronica Mars (played by Kristen Bell) and wasn’t afraid to deal with some fairly disturbing material. The show lasted for three seasons on the CW, and was followed up in 2014 by a crowdfunded movie.
