Jesse Eisenberg bursted out on to the Hollywood scene, distinguishing himself as someone to watch out for after his performance in The Social Network, earning himself an Oscar nomination for portraying the ruthless founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Now, Variety has learned that Eisenberg is in early negotiations to play the leading role in director Louis Leterrier’s, of Clash of the Titans fame, upcoming Now You See Me. Summit Entertainment is also pursuing Jake Gyllenhaal to fill the shoes of the other lead, and Melanie Laurent (Inglorious Bastards) has been offered a role as well. As for supporting roles, the studio is rumored to have been considering Colin Firth, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jim Carrey and Hugh Grant. According to First Showing, the magician heist thriller adapted its original script from Boaz Yakin -- from Prince of Persia -- and Edward Ricourt. Philip Seymour Hoffman and Olivia Wilde have reportedly also been offered roles.
