Kensington Palace has confirmed the date and location of Princess Charlotte’s baptism. It will take place on July 5 near Queen Elizabeth II’s estate in Norfolk, which is called Sandringham, at St. Mary Magdalene Church.
The location of the newest royal’s baptism is significant, as it’s where her late grandmother Princess Diana was baptized as well.
The private ceremony will be lead by Archbishop of Canterbury, Reverend Justin Welby, who also conducted Prince George’s baptism in 2013.
People reports Princess Eugenie was also baptized at Sandringham. It was already speculated the baptism would take place at St. Mary Magdalene Church before the announcement.
Just like they did with Prince George, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will release official portraits of their daughter’s baptism day.
Princess Charlotte’s full name also honors Princess Diana; Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
