Gene came to the grocery store with Gilda's dog
I was working at the Food Emporium many years ago and the manager came yelling at me to get "the man in the frozen aisle with the dog out of here!" I saw that it was Gene Wilder and he was holding Gilda's dog. I knew that he lived in the area. I said, "That's Gene Wilder and there's NO WAY I'm telling him he has to leave!" He ended up getting just 2 or 3 things and left right away.
