Burt Reynolds

Me and Burt in Penn Station
Burt Reynolds used to be the hottest male actor around. Back in 1980 I lived in Long Island, NY, and on a school day, my sister and I took the train and spent the day in Manhattan. When it was time to go home, we went to Penn Station to catch our train, and it was there that we saw Burt Reynolds. He was filming a scene where he hurried down a big escalator, pushing and shoving people aside as he made his way down the escalator stairs. It was fun to watch him, but he was busy working, and he was also surrounded by a lot of people. We left the filming area and made our way to an empty part of Penn Station. After a few minutes, who showed up...it was Burt Reynolds and his entourage. I approached him and him for his autograph. All I had was a little slip of paper. He signed it, winked at me and asked me how I was doing. He was such a tall, muscular man. I was floored because he was so handsome in person.
I still have his autograph. It's unique because it's signed on both sides of this little slip of paper. Having an older sister, I knew she wanted to get an autograph too and so I asked him to sign it twice.
