While NYC is still on the path to recovery from Hurricane Sandy, the city that never sleeps is always full of opportunities to have fun and forget your troubles for a while.
One way to have fun this Thursday, November 8th is to visit 5 Napkin Burger’s first Beer, Bourbon, and Burger Fest. In an event space on 10th Avenue at 33rd Street in Chelsea, you will have the opportunity for unlimited tastings of rare beers, bourbons and bites from 5 Napkin Burger. Some items will be signature dishes from their restaurant, but there will also be festival exclusives. So for all you foodies in NYC, this is great opportunity for some good eats and drinks.
If you have never been to a 5napkin burger, there are multiple locations in New York as well as one in Miami and another in Boston. Chef Andy D’Amico’s menu includes their house burger with gruyere cheese, caramelized onions and a rosemary aioli. A photo alone can make your mouth water. However even if you are a non red meat eater, there are plenty of menu options of turkey, veggie, or ahi tuna burgers to suit your taste.
Besides tasty sliders, some special items for the event will be beer-battered corn dogs, bourbon Bloody Mary shrimp cocktail, spicy pimento cheese tots, lamb skewers, tuna tataki wontons, vanilla porter milk shake and flourless chocolate cake with bourbon syrup.
Among the beer available are options like Kelso Nut Brown, Blue Point White IPA, and Breckenridge Barrel Aged Vanilla Porter among others.
Bourbon fans can try Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, and the introduction of Heaven Hill’s Larency
Tickets are on sale through the 5napkinburger site.
VIP admission allows entry from 6:30 to 9:30 for $67. Otherwise, general admission is $47 and begins at 7:30.
