Cruel Intentions

What a wicked web they weave!

This story line is filled with seduction, betrayal, illicit behavior, secrets, lack of moral creditability, and a fondness for anything that causes heartache and turmoil in other people's lives. It's all inside the demented minds and massively decorated mansion of two rich, conceited, troubled young people who just so happen to be related, making this story all the more dark, unthinkable and devilishly wrong.

Oh the life, the parties, the insueing boredom of sleeping with the same type of young, college-age, eager beauties to fill the need of Sebastian's (Ryan Phillippe) over indulgent libido! Sebastian is desperate for change and is dreadfully tired of his sexual menu.

Sebastian soon learns that Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is in need of some mending after her latest boyfriend dumped her for a little slurp of a goodie named Cecile Caldwell (Selma Blair). Kathryn is hungry for revenge and what better way than ruining the reputation of both!

The plan works out but it's not the feeling of success that Sebastian wants to feel ripping through his blood; he wants more of a challenge, something more tempting to satisfy his urges.

Kathryn poses a stimulating and dastardly plan of sexual indulgence, and the perfect conquest to Sebastian. If Sebastian can bed the new headmaster's daughter Annette (Reese Witherspoon), Kathryn will give herself in any way Sebastian desires. If he loses, Kathryn gets the one thing she thinks is Sebastian's greatest possession.

Looks like Sebastian is in for a tough ride. Annette is no easy conquest, and she's opposed to giving into the pleasures of the body, for she stands diligently and proudly on being a virgin.

If that wasn't enough to put a stop to the bet, what about actually falling in love with Annette?

Many twisting emotions and revealing circumstances will surface as truth and revenge, honesty and love will most definitely be neck in neck in this warped game of winner takes all. But who'll be the final one standing?

Young, beautiful, captivating, but above all talented is the cast of Cruel Intentions. Sarah Michelle Gellar was sinfully diabolic, and a trashy vindicating vixen of lies and mind games. Ryan Phillips was vicious, demeaning and scuzzy, with heartless emotion until true love warmed his icy soul. Reese Witherspoon was the sweet, kind, and open hearted girl who imprisoned her own feelings from the walls she built up around herself, until she had the strength to knock them down and face them.

An electric mix of great tunes make this a very desirable soundtrack. Especially with the songs "Every You, Every Me" by Placebo, which is amazing and the opening song to the movie, as well as the granddaddy song of the soundtrack. A close second is followed by the smooth cool sound of "Coming Up From Behind" By Marcy Playground.

This film is a tempting, sexy, thirst quenching thrill ride of twisted pleasure. A guilty pleasure that goes a long way.
