Here are some of our picks for new spring fashion.
Lexees Interchangeable Shoes
This is a great concept. You know when you are sometimes faced with that major decision of not knowing what color to get a certain shoe in? Lexees solves that! They have a basic very comfortable sandal with a lightweight heel that comes with over 100 different snap on fabrics called Flexees. You can change these shoes from basic black to leopard print or a colorful stripe pattern. I think these shoes are great for traveling. You only need to pack one pair of Lexees and a couple of very slim Flexees.
New Balance Sneakers
For its 100th anniversary, New Balance released its Centennial 992 Limited Edition. It's a classic looking running shoe that is available in a variety of widths. The pair I checked out was a silvery grey with a lot of great texture. The dates 1906-2006 are printed on the heel as well as USA. You should buy these shoes simply because they are manufactured in the US. Of course they are stylish and comfortable but supporting American workers is always a plus.
Brooks Brothers Non-Iron Shirts
Brooks Brothers makes a Non-Iron Shirt in a variety of styles and colors. They have some nice new colors out for spring including some pastel thin stripe shirts as well as different styles such as short sleeve, three quarter sleeve, and French cuff. We already know Brooks Brothers makes fine quality clothing but these shirts are virtually wrinkle free. They are made with Dow XLA lastol- the Freedom Fiber. This stuff is like magic. You can sit on an airplane for hours and come off looking like a neat million bucks. The shirts also have a nice fitted look to them.
Coverwear Tops
Coverwear prides themselves on making stylish yet modest clothing. Coverwear makes a variety of t-shirts and camisoles in great colors. Their tops are longer than most so they can be tucked in or layered to achieve that new current look. Coverwear tops are 95% cotton and 5% spandex so they are fitted but not skin tight. They are stitched nicely so they can also be worn alone. The camisole top neckline is cut very high and it is not too open so it provides a modest fit. I think these tops are great under a shrug or sheer top.
Kipling Bags
Kipling makes a bag for everyone. With five different lines including Basic, Vintage, and Deva, Kipling has made a variety of shapes, styles and colors. We really like the Deva line because of its great shapes and color palette including apricot, light blue and brown. These bags are hip and trendy as well as well constructed. One of our favorite bags in the collection is the Delano which is a large clutch with an inside pocket. Their Vintage collection also had some great shapes and colors.
