Marie Osmond to Divorce Husband

After 20 years together, singer Marie Osmond and record producer Brian Blosil are getting a divorce.
In a statement to People magazine, neither Osmond, 47, nor Blosil, 54, is placing blame on each other, but have mutually and amicably decided to separate. However, this is not the first time. In 1998, Osmond, suffering from postpartum depression, separated from Blosil, but the two reconciled after several months.
Osmond has fought many battles over her lifetime in addition to postpartum depression. She was sexually abused as a child and young adult, suffered from an eating disorder, and was even rumored to have failed at committing suicide in the summer of 2006. Osmond has denied the rumor and blamed her hospital stay on an allergic reaction to medication.
The ex-couple has eight children together – three biological, five adoptions, and one child from Osmond’s previous marriage. In their statement, Osmond and Blosil named their children as their top priority. “We will continue to jointly fulfill our roles as active parents in their daily lives,” they said.
