Former “SNL“ er Fights DUI
30-Jan-2006
Written by: Natalie Goode

Former Saturday Night Live Star Tracy Morgan has pleaded guilty to charges of drunken driving prosecutors said.

Morgan,37, was arrested Dec. 2 on two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence in Los Angeles. On Jan. 13, he pleaded not guilty for both charges. Police pulled the comedian over for speeding and carried out a field sobriety test, following his arrest on suspicion of driving drunk.

According to TMZ.com, which first reported the incident, Morgan's attorney, Blair Berk will defend his client by saying that Morgan was not only speeding, but that he hadn't broken any traffic laws at all and was the victim of profiling.

Morgan is due back in Los Angeles Superior Court on Feb. 23, for a pretrial hearing. Morgan starred on Saturday Night Live for seven years, from 1996 to 2003. Following, his late night run, he starred in the NBC sitcom, The Tracy Morgan Show. Next month, he'll appear in the VH1 movie, Totally Awesome with Chris Kattan, Dominique Swain and Brittany Daniel.

In addition, Morgan will appear on the big screen in May, in the Wayans brothers comedy, Little Man.
