Dawna Stone Named Martha’s Apprentice
22-Dec-2005
Written by: Michelle Vaccaro

Dawna Stone was named director of development for Body + Soul magazine on last night’s Apprentice: Martha Stewart.

Magazine publisher Dawna Stone was hired by Martha Stewart last night on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart. The 37-year-old St. Petersburg, Florida native beat out 34-year-old New York chef Bethenny Frankel as the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia apprentice. Stone was named director of development at Stewart’s Body + Soul magazine. She also a received $250,000 salary and a black Buick Lucerne.

Just as the final two on Donald Trump’s show did, Frankel and Stone were in charge of charity events during their final competition. Stone organized a Liz Claiborne fashion show while Frankel worked the Big Apple Circus party.

Due to low ratings, Martha’s Apprentice was not renewed so Stone is the one and only winner of the show.
