Lindsey Lohan Does the “Impossible:“ Mission Impossible
17-May-2005
Written by: Melody Nazarian

The teen queen is growing up

Teen star Lindsey Lohan is definitely growing up before our eyes. Soon after starring in a string of teen flicks, including “Freaky Friday,” and “Mean Girls,” she broke out of her good-girl mold with her first hit single “Rumors,” in which she addresses the paparazzi and tabloids.

A line from the daring lyrics: “I’m tired of rumors starting. I’m sick of being followed...Why can’t they back up off me, why can’t they let me live,” she belts out to the backdrop of an equally provocative music video.

The next project Lohan is set to star in is as grown up as co-stars and action films go. This fall, Lohan will be heading to China to play alongside Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Kenneth Branagh, and Carrie-Anne Moss in Mission: Impossible 3. "I actually met with J.J. Abrams, who is directing [the film]. I'm a huge fan of ... Lost and Alias, so hopefully, we will see what happens. If so, I'll be in training for a few weeks, putting on some muscles,” she told Access Hollywood recently. The pop star/actress will most probably play an ally to Cruise’s character, Ethan Hunt, although it’ll be “impossible” to tell until its summer 2006 release.
