1980 cult horror flick due back to the big screen after 30 years.
According to Daily Variety, the film "Mother's Day" is getting a reboot, courtesy of the makers of "Saw."
Twisted Pictures Producers Mark Burg, Oren Kroules and Carl Mazzcone are teaming up with director Darren Lynn Bousman to remake the 1980 cult horror film about a family of sadists led by a matriarch who revisits their old family home and terrorizes the new owners.
"It's a wild, crazy, insane, macabre ride," Bousman, who directed the second, third, and fourth "Saw" films said.
The project marks Bousman's for Twisted, the horror imprint of Evolution Entertainment. It is also the third pairing for the studio and LightTower Pictures. The studios previously collaborated on the upcoming Jesse Metcalfe-Erika Christensen flick "The Tortured" and "Kept."
The film is slated to be released the summer of 2010.
