Britney Spears Releases Raunchy New Single

The diva’s new song is being called indecent by several parents groups.
Britney Spears has generated major controversy for her new single, "If U Seek Amy."
She has aroused the anger of the Parents Television Council, who want the song banned from airwaves from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. The song's suggestive lyrics are a concern to the PTC, who feel that it is not appropriate for children to hear.
The way the song is sung by Spears, the chorus sounds like she is singing "all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to F.*.*.K me."
PTC President Tim Winter recently spoke with Billboard, saying, "There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song, and it's certainly not about a girl named Amy."
With a huge part of her fanbase being young people, Spears is under fire for offering this meme to children. The singer may be alienating a large part of her core audience with the song.
Earlier this week, rumors surfaced that Spears was rushed into a studio to re-record the lyrics to the song, removing the "k" from seek, singing "If U See Amy" instead.
The row hasn't had much of an impact yet. According to Reuters, six of the top 40 stations in the U.S. are still playing the track, and it holds a spot on the Billboard Top 100.
Nielsen/Soundscan figures report the track has also sold 107,000 digital units.
