Bone Thugs-n-Harmony member Bizzy Bone has been identified as the victim of a beating and robbery in Los Angeles.
Sometimes it's hard to escape the past.
According to AllHipHop.com, Bryon Anthony McCane II, better known as Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, has been identified by Los Angeles police as the victim of a brutal mugging near the Universal Hilton hotel where he was staying.
A group of several assailants supposedly beat and choked Bizzy, while relieving him of the jewelry he was wearing. The muggers then fled the scene. The robbery occured last Monday, January 5.
Police have charged and taken into custody at least one suspect, a man named Marlo "Bow Wow" Jones. Ironically, Jones is reported to be a worker for Unity One, an anti-gang organization based in Los Angeles.
Bizzy had been experiencing a string of good luck, as his group, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, had scored a gold album in 2007, and reunited with all five original members in 2008 after a 10-year separation. The group, which made it big writing catchy but serious songs about the poverty and violence they experienced in their native Cleveland, is currently working on an album to be released in the summer of this year.
