Welsh singer welcomes second child.
Welsh singer Charlotte Church welcomed a 7 lb., 5 oz. baby boy early this morning. The birth was announced in a posting on Church’s Web site, People magazine reports.
The post reported that Church, 22, gave birth just after midnight in her family home outside the Welsh capital of Cardiff, according to E! The boy, yet to be named, is the second child for Church and her boyfriend, Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson.
The couple’s first child, Ruby, was born in September 2007.
Church became famous as a classical singer, but crossed over into pop music with her 2005 album, Tissues and Issues.
In a June 2008 appearance on BBC’s Jonathan Ross show, Church revealed she wanted to have between four and six children, while Henson was aiming for eight.
“I want all my babies by the time I'm 32 so then I can have everything done,” she told Ross.
