Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers: Purely Platonic

Demi Lovato won’t be dating a Jonas Brother anytime soon.
While Demi Lovato may be closer to the Jonas Brothers than anyone, one thing is for certain: She won’t be dating either one of them anytime soon.
According to Lovato, the star of Camp Rock, their friendship is “purely platonic.”
“I've never kissed a Jonas brother, period. That would be kind of weird. Even in Camp Rock, Joe and I never kissed,” said Lovato in the Winter/Prom special edition of Seventeen.
“We're all friends. But they're not the type of guys that I'd be into dating – or else I'd be dating one,” said Lovato.
Lovato was the Jonas Brothers' opening act during their Burning Up tour, and she says being around the two boys all the time created a sense of family.
“They've become like brothers to me. I even put on my glasses and wear sweatpants around them because you wouldn't put makeup on for just your brothers,” said Lovato.
While Lovato enjoys conversing about conspiracy theories with Nick, she feels closest to Joe, 19.
“I can definitely call Joe a best friend. On one of the first nights of filming Camp Rock, we sat there and spilled everything, and I talked about how I was bullied in school when I was younger. It was emotional, but it brought us close. I'm able to go to all of them with my problems,” said Lovato.
Lovato will soon be starring in the Disney Channel’s Sonny with a Chance, and raves about fellow Disney actress Selena Gomez, 16.
“I can totally go to her with any problem and she will not judge me, no matter what. I can trust her with anything, and she can trust me. We'll definitely take each others' secrets to the grave,” said Lovato.
Lovato notes one of the reasons their relationship remains strong is their desire to hang out outside of the red carpet.
“I'll meet other actors who are like, ‘Let's go to a party,’ but Selena and I would rather rent a horror movie and just eat pickles. That's our ideal sleepover. . . . It's just crazy to realize that Selena and I have known each other almost our entire lives,” said Lovato.
