Stars to Shine at Sundance
4-Dec-2008
Written by: Jill Marino

Celebrities head to Utah to promote films.

The roster for the Sundance Film Festival in January is already filling up with famous faces.

Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor will premiere their film, I Love You Phillip Morris, at the festival. Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke, and Don Cheadle are promoting their cop drama, Brooklyn’s Finest.

Geoffrey Gilmore, the festival’s director, said to the Associated Press, “I think it’s the best premiere section we’ve had in the festival in years.”

Also slated to appear will be Winona Ryder and Billy Bob Thornton with their film, The Informers, Uma Thurman and Minnie Driver with Motherhood, and Ashton Kutcher and Anne Heche and their film, Spread.

Mary and Max, a clay-animation film starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Toni Collette is the opening-night feature at the festival.

The Sundance Film Festival, held in Park City, runs from Jan.15-25.
