McDermott to Be Officially Divorced in January

The divorce between Dylan McDermott and Shiva Rose has been finalized.
Actor Dylan McDermott will soon be a single man once again. The 47-year-old The Practice star and his wife, Shiva Rose, are almost officially divorced. On Tuesday, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that the divorce between the couple of thirteen years will be finalized on January 2. The date concludes the six month waiting period required to legally end the marriage.
After ten months of separation, McDermott filed for divorce in May citing irreconcilable differences. At the time, he had requested joint custody of their children. There is no word on the final custody ruling. McDermott put his television legal skills to the test when he decided to represent himself during the divorce proceedings.
McDermott and the 39-year-old actress tied the knot in 1995, but separated in March 2007. The couple has two children together, 12-year-old Colette, and 3-year-old Charlotte Rose.
