24 Returns with “Redemption”
21-Nov-2008
Written by: Kristi Kennedy
Two hour “24: Redemption” kicks off Season 7.
Action-packed 24 returns for its seventh season on Fox this Sunday, with the two-hour blockbuster movie, Redemption. Jack Bauer and company return to send our hearts pounding and pulses racing in the time-ticking action series.
Redemption's two-hour run time will attempt to fully hook-in new viewers, as well as reel back the faithful ones who have been waiting to see Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) back into his typical, ominous, drama-packed predicaments.
Madame President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) takes office and we find our hero fleeing to Sangala, a fictional African country, for peace and rest. Jack puts his past demons to work helping out at a local school and befriending the students. Unbeknownst to him, a rebel leader nearby is staging an uprising to incite civil war using children as soldiers for his army. You know what happens next. Jack's kids are taken by the rebel, he gets pissed, and vows to get them back.
In the meantime, President Taylor battles her villainous predecessor, Noah Daniels (Powers Booth), who believes he’s still in power until her actual inauguration ceremony is complete.
With a new president and Jack fighting honorably for the safe return of children, Season 7 promises the same mach-tempo and dramatic cliffhangers that 24 fans are accustomed to. Series begins in January.
