Jodie Sweetin divorces husband of 16 months
Jodie Sweetin, best known as Stephanie Tanner from the 90’s sitcom “Full House,” has filed for separation from her husband of 16 months, Cody Herpin, reported E!Online. Sweetin filed for divorce against in the Orange County Superior Court on Wednesday. The couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Zoie, seven months ago.
Sweetin confirmed the separation in an interview with Ok! Magazine, stating “We separated. I’m sad it didn’t work out but I’m moving forward with my life.” She added that she will “handle this as best as possible for Zoie.”
“I was dumbfounded,” the actress’ former husbanded stated in People magazine. “Over this past month something has been different. I’m concerned about our daughter and I just want Zoie home.”
The separation does seem surprising, because until this point, Sweetin has only praised her former husband. However, the former child actress’ representative said Sweetin is “absolutely clean” and the couple has “come to this path in their life and she felt like this is the way she had to go. Jodie says it’s unfortunate but it’s just what has to happen right now. No more detail, only because she says she doesn’t want to be disrespectful to him.”
