U.S. News & World Report is claiming that Congress is in favor of making some big changes in regards to the current health care system. This change would mean that any person who seeks health care coverage would never be turned down. Nevertheless, insurers also have a desire to make health care a right for people in America rather than a responsibility. Industry experts are predicting that providing health insurance for everyone is a positive thing. They believe that the “mandatory inclusion of both healthy and sick people would allow insurers to distribute risk over a larger group of people.”
In addition, two other insurance companies known as the America's Health Insurance Plans and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association have proposed that there will be coverage for patients suffering from pre-existing conditions along with making sure everyone is covered. Improving the health care crisis was one of many things that was debated in this year’s election. Furthermore, President-elect Barack Obama was stressing these exact same principles about pre-existing conditions and health care being a right during his campaign.
