Letterman Starts Doing Live Commercials
17-Nov-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

They’re for the Mazda 6.

David Letterman's Late Show has followed the lead of Jimmy Kimmel's Live, and begun doing live commercials during the show.

Kimmel's show does live commercials for Klondike Bars, and Letterman is doing commercials for the new Mazda 6.

Specifically, Letterman's sidekicks provide a tour of the new vehicle just before the Top 10 List.

Last Thursday, Late Show announcer Alan Kalter showed the audience around the features of the new car. The bit ended with the owner of the Mazda beating the crap out of Kalter.

This seems to be an ongoing trend that advertisers are using to get the audience through the commercial breaks. So expect to see more of this in the weeks to come.
