Kanye West Blames Himself for Death

West believes that his fame led to his mother’s death.
Rapper Kanye West reveals that his mother’s death was due to his need to pursue his dream.
Convinced that he brought about her death, Kanye believes that if his mother Donda West had not relocated to be near him, then she would not have died following complications from cosmetic surgery in November last year. "I feel like I moved to California, then my mom moved to California, and she did stuff she wouldn't have done if we'd stayed in Chicago," the rapper told People. "If I'd never made it in the music business, it never would've happened," 31-year-old Kanye says, admitting that he is struggling to adjust to life without his beloved mother. The situation was so heartbreaking for Kanye that he refused to initially do interviews because he was not ready to speak about the hurt he was experiencing. However, he believes that now is the time to come forth with his feelings about the horrible loss.
"Losing my mum, having no woman to support me – I feel like I’m on my own and can only express it through my music," Kanye confesses. "I’m super devastated."
