Lindsay Lohan Uses Racial Slur in Recent Interview
12-Nov-2008
Written by: Alyssa Lettman

Lohan remains inconsistent with her remarks and actions.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, 22-year-old actress Lindsay Lohan stuck her foot in her mouth while commenting on the recent election. When Maria Menounos, who was conducting the interview, asked Lohan about how she felt about the election, Lohan promptly responded, “It was really exciting. It's such an amazing feeling you know? It's our first colored president, and I'm so thrilled to be a part of the country while that's going on.”

Lohan has received heat from the term commonly associated as a racist slur dating back to slave-times of the nineteenth century. However, this is not the first example of Lohan being less-than-consistent in her politics. Aside from calling our first African-American President “colored” while being openly supportive, the Mean Girls star has openly spoken out in favor of Proposition 8, which has banned gay marriage in California. This seems strange, considering Lohan's very public relationship with girlfriend, Samantha Ronson. Lohan has, on a number of occasions, claimed that while she is in love with Ronson, she does not consider herself to be a lesbian and therefore supports Prop. 8 for tax reasons.
