She’s pretty excited.
Caroline Rhea, a Canadian comedian and actress (she was great in Sabrina the Teenage Witch if my memory serves me correctly), has given birth to her first child.
The father is Rhea's longtime boyfriend, Costaki Economopoulos.
The couple, who named their daughter Ava, welcomed their first-born on Monday. She weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces.
"We wanted the shortest first name possible," Rhea told People, "since her last name is the alphabet. It was either that or Emmy, because I've always wanted an Emmy."
Rhea's birth comes five months after she officially announced the pregnancy.
