As the saying goes, you just can’t find good help these days.
Two staff members of one of the mansions belonging to David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, have been arrested under suspicion of stealing memorabilia, reports Reuters.com.
The alleged theft, according to newspapers, took place at the couple's mansion nicknamed “Beckingham Palace” in Sawbridgeworth Hertfordshire, with possessions of both the soccer star and “Posh Spice” being taken.
Newspapers reported that among the items allegedly stolen from the home were football boots, sportswear, and designer clothes that were found later on eBay being auctioned off to the highest bidder.
The incident was confirmed by a spokesman for the Beckhams who said, "An incident has taken place," and that, "the matter is now in the hands of the police."
After being alerted Friday, British Police confirmed that they did arrest a 56-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man from Essex.
Police also confirmed that the couple was taken in on suspicion of theft from a private address in Sawbridgeworth.
A police spokeswoman said that the couple would be reporting back to the police station on Nov 22.
