Homer Simpson to Get Colonoscopy

Homer Simpson will participate in the new campaign to "Stand Up to Cancer," which is a fund-raiser that will air on ABC, CBS and NBC Sept. 5.
The animated star of The Simpsons will be screened for colon cancer on a segment for the show, and there's quite a surprise, according to the New York Post.
Marge is with Homer when they go to the doctor, and he has the colonoscopy. When they're in the doctor's office, Marge yells: "There's his wedding band! He told me he was getting it polished!"
A host of other stars on different shows will participate in the fund-raiser that will go to a variety of organizations affiliated with beating cancer.
