Josh Homme, the frontman for Queens of the Stone Age, will produce new material by the Arctic Monkeys.
Queens of the Stone Age singer Josh Homme is set to produce new material by the Arctic Monkeys, the BBC reports.
Homme told BBC 6 Music, "We're going do some tracks and I'm really looking forward to it because I like them a lot.”
Homme said the Arctic Monkeys would record new tracks for their third album at a recording studio in the Californian desert.
"Being Arctic Monkeys, the polar opposite would be Desert Monkeys so they're going to come out and just experience that and their idea is to submerge themselves in something else and do some tracks," he said.
"That's the sort of pressure-free 'lets-do-something-cool' environment that really pays musical dividends at the end, you know? They're a talented bunch of guys - it's going to be a lot of fun."
Homme has overseen the recording of a series of collaborative albums over the past ten years under the title of Desert Sessions, working with various artists including PJ Harvey at the Rancho De La Luna studios in Joshua Tree.
