Country Singer Blacks Out from Beer, but He Never Had a Drink

Pat Green was hit in the head by a flying beer can while performing at a NASCAR race.
Jessica Simpson isn’t the only country singer making news for her interest in beer. According to TMZ, country star Pat Green was performing after a NASCAR race on Saturday when someone threw a full beer can at his face. The Canadian Press reported Green had called out to the audience at the Michigan International Speedway, “Anyone got a beer?” Apparently somebody did, because one came flying onto the stage. The track’s spokeswoman, Sammie Lukaskiewicz, told Michigan’s Jackson Citizen Patriot that Green caught that first drink. Seconds later he didn’t get his hands up in time, and a second can hit the singer right between his eyes, allegedly knocking him unconscious. However, according to TMZ, Green’s rep discounted reports by Michigan State Troopers that the performer had been knocked out. For whatever injuries he incurred, Green was by all accounts treated at the track by medical personnel. If anything, this little embarrassment should get the Waco, Texas native’s name back out there. According to the Canadian Press, he is best known for a single released five years ago, 2003’s “Wave on Wave.”
