Management Firm Sues Courtney Love
23-Jul-2008
Written by: Angela P. Cobb

Love in trouble again.

Controversial star Courtney Love has been sued by her management company, London & Co, for failing to pay commissions, Reuters reports in Los Angeles.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, has accused Love of failing to pay the company commissions for her share of the Nirvana publishing catalog. Last year, the widow of the band’s frontman, Kurt Cobain, sold a portion of the catalog for $19.5 million. London & Co. were hired to help Love on the business end, and were to be paid 5 percent of revenues, which Love has failed to pay.

Howard Weitzman, Love’s attorney, has stated: "I'm aware there's an issue between London Co. and Courtney, but I have not seen the lawsuit."

The total amount for claims owed and the cost of the suit that London & Company are asking for comes to $975,000.
