Michelle Williams Will Not Attend “The Dark Knight” Premiere

She also put to bed the rumors of a disagreement with the Ledger family over the handling of Heath Ledger’s estate.
Michelle Williams, the mother to Heath Ledger’s only child, confirmed reports Monday that she will not be attending the premiere of Ledger’s final film, The Dark Knight. Williams said that she will be absent simply because there’s no reason for her to be there.
The actress went on to say that there is no truth behind the rumor that she will not be attending because there is an ongoing feud between herself and the Ledger family over the handling of the late actor’s estate.
Williams’s representative, Mara Buxbaum, said, “There is misinformation all over the place. (The premiere) was never on her calendar and she’s not in the movie. This isn’t a press event for her. She’s not going, there is no reason.”
Ledger’s parents and sister, however, are expected to fly in from their home in Perth, Australia to attend the July, 14 premiere, six months after the actor’s accidental overdose.
