Madonna’s Marriage “Frozen” by Rumors

What is the current state of Madonna’s marriage? Rampant rumors and reports have it on a rapid decline.
Madonna’s marriage to Guy Ritchie is in a constant state of flux, and if the rumors are proven correct, neither will be around to cherish the other.
According to eFluxMedia and The Times London, Madonna is seeking an end to her seven-year marriage to Ritchie, requesting the counsel of divorce attorney Fiona Shackleton, known for representing Paul McCartney in the divorce trial with Heather Mills, as well as Princess Diana during her divorce from Prince Charles.
Ritchie has also sought legal counsel in these proceedings, in his case from Forsters, a London law firm.
While rumors have persisted in the past regarding the state of the couple’s marriage, these reports have proven the most concrete in a while.
Casual observers, however, have long suspected the pair’s marriage to be in a state of dissolution, considering the fact that Madonna has appeared in public on various occasions without her husband.
When asked to confront the speculation in early March, Madonna’s publicist emphasized that the couple remains “happily married.”
She said their conflicting schedules make it difficult for them to spend time together: a valid assessment, considering that Madonna was spending time in the U.S. promoting her latest album, Hard Candy, while Ritchie was completing production on his film, RocknRolla, and various other projects in the U.K.
Should this split prove valid however, it would most affect David Banda, the Malawi boy that the pair adopted in 2006.
Shortly after obtaining the right to adopt him, the judge deemed Madonna and her family “perfect parents.”
