Wanted: Celebrities in Debt

From anchorwomen to A-list actors, these stars are wanted by feds for owing money.
These Hollywood celebs expectedly earn a larger sum of cash than the rest of the civilians, yet they are not that different, for they are monetarily indebted to various sources.
One of the recent news regulars is former Tonight Show sidekick Ed McMahon, whose house was at risk of foreclosure. In addition, according to PerezHilton.com, Citibank has now filed a suit against McMahon, saying that he owes them $179,687.08.
A taxman has recently been paying CBS newswoman Katie Couric a lot of visits. According to E! Online, she has an unpaid bill of $210.41, which may not seem like a large number, since Couric earns reportedly $15 million a year. But this bill dates back to 2003, which is perhaps why the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance has issued a warrant for the matters.
Matthew Hiltzik, a rep for Couric, told New York Daily News that the bills are a “minor oversight,” and that they were sent to an old address. He said that Couric is on vacation currently, and will settle matters when she returns.
Wesley Snipes still owes millions of dollars for tax withholding. PerezHilton.com reports that the actor was found guilty and sentenced to three years for not paying his share of taxes. When he appealed, a Florida judge let Snipes out on bail.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office has now filed a motion demanding for Snipes's surrender to police custody. "We want him in custody," said Steve Cole, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office. "He's been convicted by a jury. He has been sentenced to three years and he should be in custody."
