Campbell Strikes Again
20-Jun-2008

Naomi Campbell pleaded guilty to charges of assault.
Naomi Campbell, 38-year-old supermodel, appeared in court on Friday and pleaded guilty to the charges of assaulting two police officers at Heathrow airport in London this past April.
Campbell faced six charges in court. She pleaded guilty to four of these counts: two counts of assault on a police officer, one of using abusive or threatening words to the cabin crew, and one of using insulting, abusive, or threatening behavior and disorderly conduct likely to lead to distress or cause harassment. As for the two remaining charges, the Crown Prosecution Service has decided not to pursue them.
A representative for Campbell told the press that she regrets the incident. She could have to serve up to six months in jail for it, as well as a fine of $10,000 per each charge of assault. Campbell must now remain in the Uxbridge Magistrates' Court precinct to await her sentence.
Campbell seems to be no stranger to the world of angry attacks. Last year, she pleaded guilty to assault for throwing a cell phone at her housekeeper. For that incident, she was ordered to complete five days of community service and attend anger management classes. Apparently, those classes were not as effective as hoped.
