Girl Talk Follows Similar Release as “In Rainbows”
20-Jun-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

Girl Talk specializes in the mixing of different songs.

Musical mash-up guru Girl Talk’s next album, titled Feed the Animals, is now available online. The notable thing about its release is that fans can pay whatever they please, in exactly the same fashion as Radiohead’s In Rainbows.

But paying for the album does provide the purchaser with some benefits.

For $5, one receives Feed the Animals in FLAC format, which allows a seamless transition between tracks. This is vital for the mixing style Girl Talk uses.

For $10, in addition to the MP3 file, the buyer also receives a physical copy of the album once they become available.

If one chooses to download the album for free in MP3 format, they are forced to answer a series of questions regarding why they chose not to pay for it. In essence, they are faced with their own guilt in the hope that they reconsider and pay something for it.

The artists featured on the disc include: Lil Wayne, Lil Jon, Avril Lavigne, Rod Stewart, Blackstreet, Procol Harum, Ace of Base, Kanye West, the Band and the theme from Dawson’s Creek.
