Watson poised for Chanel.
Young actress Emma Watson will replace Keira Knightley as the new face of Chanel, when the latter’s contract expires this summer, WENN reports.
The Harry Potter actress has signed a $6 million contract with the French fashion house. The 18-year-old will be replacing Knightley, who advertised for Chanel’s fragrances since 2006.
Britain’s The Mail reported on Sunday: “Emma has been slowly integrated into the Chanel brand. They have been dressing her for film premieres and parties over recent months to see if she is the right fit.”
Apparently, the company is very impressed with the budding starlet. “Once it became clear she is growing into a beautiful young woman and wears the Chanel brand so elegantly, they had to sign her up.”
Watson has starred as Hermione, the female sidekick of Harry and Ron since the first Harry Potter film in 2001.
